From Small-Town Roots to Sales & Leadership Success
I’m a small-town girl with big goals. With over 30 years of sales experience, including 24 years in corporate sales for a leading building materials manufacturer, my true passion lies in empowering leaders and sales professionals to lead confidently, build high-performing teams, and drive business success.
How It All Began
I grew up in northern BC on an 80-acre farm and attended a small private school (with only 50 students enrolled in K-12). My sales journey started at just 8 years old, selling chocolates door-to-door. I still remember standing at my first house, nervous but determined—I knocked and made my first sale.
At 17, I left home, and by 20, I was selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door to support my young family. Direct sales was challenging, but it taught me resilience, negotiation skills, and the power of persistence. Over the next six years, I became a top producer, proving that success comes from confidence, skills, practice, and relentless determination.
From Corporate Sales to Leadership Coaching
I transitioned into corporate sales, where I’ve spent the past 24 years winning awards and exceeding targets. However, I sensed a shift in the past few years—sales strategies are evolving, workplaces are becoming more multi-generational, and leaders need new approaches to stay ahead of the competition.
In 2022, I returned to university to complete my Master’s Degree in Leadership. My research focused on the next generation of workers—Gen Z (born 1997–2012)—and how organizations struggle to engage and retain them. After two years of studying workplace trends, leadership strategies, and generational shifts, I uncovered powerful insights that help businesses bridge generational gaps and drive performance in today’s changing workforce.
Beyond Work
When not coaching leaders or working with businesses, I spend time with my family, including my amazing grandchildren and Beaglier, Russell. You might also find me hiking, running marathons, playing tennis, boating, fishing, or buried in a book
